Examination

The cost of a veterinary examination varies by the visit reason and age of the pet.

Low End: $94.86

High End: $145.86

Exam fees include safe management of biohazardous waste, and a blood pressure evaluation for pets > 5 years old.

We provide nose-to-tail veterinary examinations to make sure your pet is happy and healthy. If your pet is due for a vaccination or needs additional services, our vets will review costs with you before proceeding. We offer the full gamut of general practice veterinary care. Whether your pet is vomiting or limping, we’re here to help you get to the bottom of it.

Brook Farm Veterinary Center is a fear free practice. We have modified our procedures, handling, and facilities to help your pet feel safe and comfortable while receiving care from our cat and dog veterinarians.  Our team even goes above and beyond for new clients by offering a Happy Visit which is designed for pets (often dogs) who experience a high level of anxiety when they go to the vet.  To make sure they feel comfortable seeing the veterinarian before their physical exam, we start with an easy, warm-up walk around the clinic, so they can get comfortable with the environment and enjoy some treats.

It is recommended that with each exam visit you also test your pets for any internal parasites by doing a fecal and a urine test. This is the best way to stay on top of your pet's health to keep them happy and healthy for you. During your visit, we may recommend one of the following:

Fecal Kit: $61.20

Fecal kits are an essential tool to ensure that your pet and your household are not infected and exposed to intestinal parasites.

Urine Kit: $148.60

A simple urine test could be enough to reveal several health concerns which is why we always recommend it to our clients who have aging pets.

Understanding additional fees

The materials, equipment, and team members utilized when providing high-quality veterinary care can add complexity to the estimating process. For example, when biological waste is produced - such as when a needle is used during treatment - a small fee is assessed to help us properly and safely dispose of it. We'll always be sure to include these fees on any treatment plans that we provide.

Quality care is an investment in your pet's health

Veterinary care is medical care. We devote time, energy, and resources to ensure that your pet receives the best care possible. This includes investing in advanced diagnostic technology, highly-trained professionals with years of experience, and low-stress handling techniques that make your pet's visit more comfortable.
